Causeway Media Partners, which led the initial round, is also leading the new round according to VenueNext some of its first-round investors are also participating in the B round, but the company did not yet name any of them other than Causeway. Doors to Sharks games open 75 minutes before face-off, and professional cameras, selfie sticks and gifts for performers and athletes should be left at home. The San Jose Diridon Station is within walking distance, so fans can also access the arena via the Amtrak and ACE networks. Season ticket holders are allowed to pre-purchase parking permits, but otherwise it's first come, first served. Plenty of parking is available onsite and in the nearby area. The arena is located just off the Guadalupe Freeway next to scenic Guadalupe River Park. The Shark Tank is also a popular concert venue, with stars like Rihanna, Bon Jovi, Justin Bieber and Elton John all making appearances. Most notably, it hosted three games of the 2016 Stanley Cup Finals. Since opening in 1993, the indoor arena has seen a variety of sporting events, including figure skating, college hockey, arena football, tennis, wrestling and UFC. Known to its fans as the "Shark Tank," the SAP Center is the current home of the NHL's San Jose Sharks and the AHL's San Jose Barracudas. ![]()
